The meeting

On December 13, 2016, in the meeting room of the Wuhan Opera Theater, Beijing Liangxiang Culture Founder and Chairman Ma Yingying, director Fu Zhitao and operation director Sun Yanmin had a further conversation with Wuhan Opera Theater President Liu Ziwei, vice president and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection Chen Qian and YRIC Executive President, the Yangtze River International Financial Investment Company chairman Liu Meng attended the meeting.

The Yangtze River International Financial Investment Co.Ltd, Peking Liangxiang Culture and Wuhan Opera Theater signed an agreement

To carry forward the traditional culture and realize the revitalization and prosperity of Peking Opera, in the Opening Ceremony of Wuhan International Chambers of Commerce Club and Investment Promotion Conference on December 12th, the Yangtze River International Financial Investment Co.Ltd, Peking Liangxiang Culture and Wuhan Opera Theater signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote fashion, internationalization and sustainable development of Peking Opera through Opera performances, film and television and training. 

The meeting

As the world's first opera fashion platform, Beijing Liangxiang Culture Media Co. Ltd is the first domestic institution about the cultural creative industry focusing on the quintessence of art at the international stage. Founded by   the original senior director of CCTV drama channel Ms. Ma Yingying, it has launched a series of brand activities with the theme of fashion opera, creating the presentation and packaging techniques of Peking Opera fashion, internationalization and modernization to build diversified opera culture industry platform and combine the traditional opera and fashion in line with the times to strive to bring national culture to a broader international arena. Liangxiang Culture has gained a strong response from the society with deep cultural experiences and a new artistic perspective.

The Wuhan Peking Opera Theater

Formerly known as the south central Beijing Opera Troupe and the Wuhan Peking Opera Troupe, the Wuhan Peking Opera Theater was founded on January 18, 1950 as one of the newly established state-owned theaters. In September 2004, it changed the name to the Wuhan Peking Opera Theater. Peking Opera artist Zhou Xinfang was the first head and the current dean is Liu Ziwei one of the national highest level actors, twenty-second Meihua prize winner, postgraduate of Chinese Traditional Opera Academy. Wuhan Peking Opera Theater, Beijing and Shanghai Opera Theater are raised as "three powerful opera theaters" by Mr. Mei Lanfang. At the same time, the Wuhan Peking Opera Theater also shoulders the task of foreign cultural exchange. In the 1950s , the Wuhan Peking Opera Theater had performances in North Korea and Cambodia and it went to North Europe in the 1980s, then Japan, South Korea, Taiwan in the 1990s; in 2006 it was invited to play two performances by the Macao Special Administrative Region and the Hongkong Special Administrative Region. "Revive the glory of theater and achieve the leapfrog development". The theater will work together to make great efforts for the development of Beijing Opera Art.
