On November 6, 2016, Honorary President of YRIC and the Starr Group CEO Mr. Maurice. R. Greenberg submitted the “Urban Development In the Network Era” proposal to the mayor of Shanghai as a member of the Shanghai Mayor International Business Consulting Conference.

Honorary President of YRIC Mr. Maurice. R. Greenberg thought that in addition to Chongqing, Shanghai was the only city that puts "Internet plus" into the development agenda in China. Relying on the traditional advantage and innovation, Shanghai is expected to lead in the three target areas, namely the business model that Internet promotes the service industry, the development of smart city, and the sustainable development of environment.

Taking the insurance industry for example, Greenberg, Honorary President of YRIC Mr. Maurice. R. Greenberg noted that information from sensors and smart phones have begun to make improvements. If the containers and trucks are equipped with sensors, the insurance company can carry out real-time assessment of risk and loss, rather than relying on the traditional way of inaccurate prediction.

"Chinese enterprises have ranked the first line providing the customer behavior data for mobile financial services and loans, and have opportunities for further development." Honorary President of YRIC Mr. Maurice. R. Greenberg said, Shanghai had opportunities to lead to change in China and even in the world.
