On September 7, 2016, YRIC Executive President Mr. Liu Meng, New York YRIC Secretary Genenral Mr.Yan Yong and staff of YRIC secretariat were invited to Jingzhou and explored the permanent siting of the Yangtze River International Forum. Jingzhou Mayor Yang Zhi, Director of Municipal Party Committee, Minister of the Municipal United Front Work Department Mr. Duan Changlin, Vice Mayor Yuan Defang, Secretary General of Municipal Government Mr. Chen Bin, Deputy Secretary General Mr. Li Yixiao, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department Mr. Wang Congbing, Jingzhou Jinan culture district Party Committee Secretary Peng Xianrong and the central China agricultural district Party Committee Secretary Chen Xianghao and other leaders at all levels jointly accompanied the inspection, and the two sides also had a meeting on cooperating with YRIC to bring in investment and other matters.

In the meeting，Mayor Yang Zhi expressed his welcome to YRIC Executive President Mr. Liu Meng and the delegation, and recommended the permanent siting of the Yangtze River International Forum. He said that if Hubei province is the waist of the Yangtze River, then Jingzhou is the waist of Hubei Province with the complete city planning, elegant environment, convenient transportation and other advantages. Mayor Yang Zhi warmly welcomed and supported the Yangtze River International Forum to permanently locate in Jingzhou, and expressed the hope to cooperate with YRIC. He finally said, "1800 years ago, Liu Bei became the empire by taking advantage of Jingzhou. Since ancient times, there has a saying that having Jingzhou means having the world and don’t  lose Jingzhou carelessly. Welcome to choose Jingzhou."

Mr. Liu Meng said that Jingzhou is not only a city with a long history, outstanding elites and the impressive city's appearance and development plan.Within two years, YRIC has developed rapidly and set up 7 chambers of commerce with the same name in the United States, Italy, Australia, Canada and other countries with a plan to set up 5 to 8 global chambers of commerce next year, to form “the friend circle” of bringing in global investment to Hubei. Yangtze River International Forum is an important brand of YRIC entering a new period of development and YRIC will gather global business leaders resources to make Yangtze River International Forum an influential brand like Yabuli, Boao, Davos to enhance the influence of Hubei in the world. Yangtze River International forum will make Jin Zhou the Yangtze River Dragon waist stronger, with the exhibition economy bringing in investment in Jingzhou, driving Hubei to open to the world,and promoting the development and integration of financial and industrial economy.
