The Father of World Finance and Insurance Mr. Maurice. R. Greenberg and Vice Governor of Hubei Province Mr. Cao Guangjing Unveiled New York YRIC to Build a China-US Business Cooperation Overpass



On July 6, 2016, New York time, YRIC Founding Honorary President, the father of world finance and insurance and Chairman of the board of the Starr Group, Mr. Maurice R. Greenberg and Vice Governor of Hubei Province Mr. Cao Guangjing unveiled the red silk cloth shrouded the plaque of YRIC registered in New York in the headquarter of the Starr group, marking the platform for global commercial leaders with a unique model of global chambers of commerce group was officially launched in New York and nearly 30 financial entrepreneurs from China and the United States witnessed this moment.

During the opening activity, over ninety-year-old YRIC Founding Honorary President Mr. Maurice R. Greenberg firstly expressed sympathy and solicitude for recent Hubei flood situation with concern and then had a conversation with Vice Governor of Hubei Province Mr. Cao Guangjing and Chinese entrepreneur members for over one hour. During the conversation, he believed that Sino-US relation is very important and was firmly convinced that China will overtake the United States to become the largest economy in the world, he was full of confidence and expectations to the Chinese economy development and the real marketization is not easy, so in order to let people believe the market, the government’s attitude toward foreign investment is very important.

He said, as an American company originating from China, the Starr Group is about to usher in its centennial ceremony with a hope to develop commercial relations with Hubei Province and to help Hubei and Wuhan. When he visits China in this fall, if time permits, he will lead a group of international investors visit Hubei Province and at the same time the Starr Insurance will soon enter Hubei. After listening to Vice Governor of Hubei Province Mr. Cao Guangjing’s introduction of the Yangtze River Industrial Fund , Mr. Maurice R. Greenberg expressed his willing to help the fund overseas development and international cooperation.

Previously Honorary President Mr. Maurice R. Greenberg said he would try his best to give YRIC maximum support and this was the initial stage of YRIC that needed a long time to complete, but YRIC was developing in the right direction and he believed that YRIC could achieve a great success! YRIC should be based on and deploy along the Yangtze River,  face the whole world and develop globally. According to YRIC Global Executive President Mr. Liu Meng’s introduction, the YRIC "win-win" concept and "capital and resources interaction " strategy are supported and acknowledged by global business leaders. At present, the number of YRIC global members is more than 10,000.

According to New York YRIC Secretary General and the Yangtze River International Financial President Yan Yong’s introduction, the YRIC mode of "front is the chamber of commerce, background is commerce, left hand is capital, right hand is resource" won the Chinese Innovation Award by China National Industrial and Commercial Joint assessment in 2015, the New York YRIC will adjust measures to local conditions to develop "innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship" and build a China-US business cooperation bridge, or more accurately, an overpass extending in all directions and leading to the world.
