On the afternoon of June 29, 2016, the six person delegation of YRIC visiting France were invited to Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco besides the Eiffel Tower in Paris and had a pleasant and fruitful conversation with Morocco’s Ambassador to France Mr. Chakib Benmoussa and Economic Counselor Mr. Omar Bouchiar in the splendid Embassy house with a history of over one hundred years.

YRIC Global Executive President Mr. Liu Meng said at the beginning of the meeting, we predestined to know about this beautiful country in this splendid Embassy House in enchanted Paris and YRIC was willing to act as a platform and bridge for Economic exchanges and friendly intercourse between Chinese enterprises and countries around the world. Then, Mr. Liu Meng introduced the mode and developing situation of YRIC. Professor Liu Yanshen detailedly introduced the project of Smart City Eco-System and in his speech he hoped this green and environmentally friendly development mode would be supported and emphasized by Morocco government through the establishment of YRIC in Morocco.

Morocco’s Ambassador to France Mr. Chakib Benmoussa first introduced the situation of Morocco and King Mohamed VI recent friendly visit in China as well as the investment of Chinese enterprises in Morocco, and especially mentioned the natural resources and travel advantages, the need of financial and environmental protection. He warmly invited YRIC to establish the chamber of commerce with the same name and welcomed YRIC to inspect Morocco recently. And he said he would coordinate Morocco Urban Development Foundation, Foreign Investment Promotion Bureau and related departments for the reception, conversation and cooperation.

The Kingdom of Morocco is a coastal Arab country in the Northwestern Africa, facing Spain north across Strait of Gibraltar and is the gate of the Mediterranean into the Atlantic with the coastline of more than 1700 kilometers and the travel destination of Chinese citizen. With economic strength ranking the fifth in Africa, Morocco started economic reform in 1983,  promoting Enterprise privatization and trade liberalization, committed to optimizing the economic structure, strengthening infrastructure, improving the investment environment and has made certain achievement. Meanwhile, Morocco followed the example of Estonia and China to open the coastal region and establish port cities like Tangier, Casablanca, etc. by virtue of near the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. In 2012, Tangier Port became the biggest port in Africa. Mining industry is a pillar industry and the export of mineral products accounts for 30% of all exports.
