In the evening of May 23, 2016, France time, Mr. Bruno Bezard, Deputy Finance Minister of France officially submitted his resignation to French Government, and announced that he will join Cathay Capital Private Equity this July and hold the post of managing partner. 

Bruno Bezard worked at French Finance Ministry and held important posts of many departments since 1988. He used to be Director of French SASAC, and worked as Deputy Finance Minister of France since 2014.

Bruno Bezard has profound relationship with China. During his tenure at French Finance Ministry, he visited China for international conference and high-level communications for many times. Besides, he was invited as visiting professor at China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong to share the reform experience of French state-owned enterprises. 

Most former Deputy Finance Minister of France will join major international financial institutions such as IMF, ECU, etc, after they leave French Finance Ministry. The different is that Bruno Bezard chose the unit of YRIC Vice President, Cathay Capital Private Equity, a cross border private equity organization. He said to foreign media, “Now China plays a more and more important role in the international stage. I believe that France should play a more important role in China to develop Chinese market potential, and Cathay provides this platform acrossed Europe and Asia.”

After joining Cathay Capital Private Equity, Bruno Bezard will build a new private equity product connected Europe and Asia by Cathay, the unique cross border investment platform.
