On May 20, 2016, Canada time, Mr. Liu Meng, Executive President of YRIC and President of Peking University Alumni Association of Hubei met Lu Yuefeng, President of Canada Hubei Chamber Of Commerce, Director of Canadian Workstation of Hubei Provincial People's Government International Cooperation, Vice President of Peking University Alumni Association of Canada, Chairman of Merit Education Inc. in Canada. They have in-depth exchanges for further cooperation. Lu Yuefeng expressed that he would give his full support for YRIC locating in Canada, and promote cooperation and exchanges between Hubei enterprises and Canada enterprises.

Luo Liangzhi, Vice President of Canada Hubei Chamber Of Commerce and CEO of Happy Life Wealth Management Inc., Chen Shaojun, Vice President of Canada Hubei Chamber Of Commerce, and Xie Xiaohong, Vice President of Peking University Alumni Association of Canada and executive director of DoubleOcean Financial Group attended the meeting. It is reported that the YRIC in Canada has completed the name approval. The YRIC Canada is under registration. As the seventh YRIC around the world, YRIC Canada will further improve the abroad layout and the two-way stage setting up. There is no doubt that YRIC Canada will become another important way of exchanges and cooperation between China and Canada. Also, it is another important node in YRIC.

Canada Hubei Chamber Of Commerce initiated by five Hubei natives in Canada. It was strong supported by Canadian Federal Government, Hubei Association of Overseas Chinese, Hubei Association of Industry and Commerce, municipal governments in Hubei and other government departments in the early stages. At the same time, the local Scotiabank, Bank of China and other large commercial institutions also sponsored the Canada Hubei Chamber Of Commerce.
