Located in the mouth of Yangtze River, known as the "northern suburb of Shanghai", Qidong, in Jiangsu, attracts YRIC's sight, which is committed to make Yangtze River Economic Zone to bidirectional internationalization. On April 14, 2016, following the lead of Mr. Liu Meng, the YRIC Executive President and Chairman of Yangtze River International Financial Investment Co.Ltd, YRIC delegation had a one-day visit and research in Qidong. Mayor of Qidong Huang Weifeng, and Executive Vice-Mayor Wang Kai attended the meeting and accompanied the expedition.

After the visiting of Lusi Port Economic Development Zone, Binhai Industrial Park and other places, YRIC delegation had a communication with leaders of the Qidong Financial Bureauin, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Qidong Commerce Bureau and Qidong Finance Office and the other functional department at Qidong municipal government. They discussed the cooperation details in three areas including fund finance, attracting investment and bidirectional internationalization. During the visiting, YRIC delegation was attracted by Qidong's  geographical advantage of by the Yangtze River, near the Yellow Sea, close to Shanghai, and infected by energetic Qidong people who lead the coastal city, integrate into Shanghai, and contain the world.

At the meeting, Mayor Huang Weifeng spoke highly of YRIC about its strategy for capital and resource, global business leaders platform, and rapid practical development. He said that the desire to cooperate with YRIC will implemented soon. Executive President of YRIC Liu Meng said that YRIC will organize global relevant member companies and investment institutions team to do projects cooperation in three fields and seven sectors for early achievement. Finally, Liu Meng gave four proposals including city branding, differentiation of positioning, global investment, and capitalization of industry for Qidong's future development.

Located on the north of Yangtze River estuary, surrounded on three sides by water, shaped like peninsula, Qidong City is a combination of golden waterway, golden coast, and golden channel. It's an an important gateway of Yangtze River to Yellow Sea, and the place of earliest sunrise in Jiangsu. Qidong faces the metropolis Shanghai across the river. The straight-line distance to Pudong is more than 50km, with a total population of 1.12 million (2012). Qidong is the famous hometown of marine economy in China. It has 203km rivers and coastline, more than 600,000 mu beach. Lusi Fishery is one of China's four major fishing grounds, and Lusi Fishing Port is one of China's six major fishing port, with annual seafood catch accounted for 1/3 of Jiangsu Province. 

Qidong is the famous hometown of power tools in China. There are nearly 200 enterprises making power tools and 50,000 professional marketing staff. Power tools marketing network is around China, with annual sales accounted for 60% of Chinese market. Qidong is the famous hometown of construction in China. 100,000 Builders work at home and abroad. It has won 10 LuBan Awards, the highest award in the construction industry in China. 1920, Qidong people, Tao Guilin opened Fuji Construction Plant in Shanghai, and built the 24 floors International Hotel, the tallest building in Shanghai at the time.
